Background: Kathleen's Authentic Handknits is a small family run business situated in the south-west of Donegal, just outside the major fishing port of Killybegs. Kathleen started in the hand knitted sweater business (not to be confused with hand-loomed) over fifteen years ago and the business has since gone from strength to strength. She now not only knits & designs her own sweaters but also has a highly skilled team of local people working for her creating hand-knit sweaters. She has expanded her business from sales at her home to include mail orders and sends sweaters all over the world.
Location: Kathleen's is located in the Northwest of Ireland, just outside of the major fishing port of Killybegs in County Donegal.
Directions from Killybegs: Drive through Killybegs towards Kilcar for approx. 5 miles and take the Scenic coast road turn-off to the left, after passing the Blue Haven restaurant. Follow the road for approx. 2 miles until you come in view of Tra Lore beach where you will see the sign for Kathleen's Aran Hand-knits which is off to the left where a treat awaits you!!!.
